Spam Allstars, Miami’s very own latin funk powerhouse. A compilation of musicians blending “electronic elements and turntables with latin, funk, hip hop and dub to create what they call an electronic descarga”. They’ve been drawing crowds in Miami since 1999 and in 2002, Spam Allstars began a weekly residency at Hoy Como Ayer in Little Havana.

And closing out the concert are the epic sounds of Locos Por Juana!

“For more than 15 years, Locos por Juana has helped define a soundtrack unique to Miami,
mixing elements of cumbia, champeta, salsa, soca, reggae and dancehall into a frenzy of fresh rhythms filled with inspiration born of migration and creative exchange.”

Both Grammy nominated performers will be participating in the 1st concert in The West End Concert series held March 4th, 2017 @ Kendale Lakes Park

The West End Concert Series wins The Public Space Challenge

The Concert Series was selected as one of 56 finalists from a pool of 400 ideas that were submitted in the Miami Foundation Public Space Challenge. The event was supported by hundreds of residents who voted to award funds to produce a concert.

“With support from Commissioner Zapata, West End residents submitted more entries than ever before, including three winning ideas to improve local transit and increase access to the arts. “I am very proud of all the great ideas for improving our public spaces,” Commissioner Zapata said. “The overwhelming response from our residents shows that the West End is a truly vibrant community.”
